The Director General of the Unique Sound Minds Initiative, Chief Austine Akpotu Emaduku, PhD, has joined party leaders and faithful at a thanksgiving service organised by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Udu Local Government Area following the successful conclusion of the party’s primary elections.

The thanksgiving, held on Monday, 25/06/2026 at the Udu Local Government Secretariat, Otor-Udu, brought together political leaders, party stakeholders, and supporters who gathered to appreciate God for what they described as a peaceful and hitch-free primary exercise.

Speaking with journalists shortly after the event, Chief Emaduku emphasised the importance of gratitude and unity in political engagement.

“The first thing is that all power belongs to God and it is always good to give thanks to God,” he said. “The Chairman of the local government council, Olorogun( Hon) Vincent Ogheneruemu Oyibode JP FCIA, alongside other party leaders has done well in guiding us through a peaceful process. It was very peaceful, very peaceful indeed.”

He further expressed optimism about the party’s prospects, noting that continued unity would strengthen its chances in future elections.

“We remain positive and committed to delivering positively for the party,” he added.

On the need for cohesion among party members, Emaduku urged political actors to put aside differences and work together for collective success.

“Party members should be united, especially the political class. One of our challenges has been disunity among political actors. We appeal to everyone to come together so we can mobilise effectively and ensure massive support for APC in the coming elections,” he said.

The event ended with renewed calls for peace, unity, and stronger collaboration among stakeholders ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
